The first game of baseball was played in the "Mile Square City". The first brewery in North America. The America's cup, all started in Hoboken.
Edgar Allen Poe's "Mystery of Marie Roget" was based on the Hoboken Murder of Mary Rogers. And the classic Academy Award winning film "On the Waterfront" was filmed entirely in Hoboken.
