Due to popular demand, Antique Bar & Bakery does not take typical reservations on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. It is strongly encouraged to call 201.683.7029 and make Wait List arrangements in order to get priority seating. Those whose names are on the list will be seated on a first come, first serve basis.
Antique Bar & Bakery is a restaurant in a century old Hoboken institution boasting a 30 ton coal oven built of porcelain brick.
The 400sqft hearth produced the famous “Hoboken Sticks” for generations; bread so prized Sinatra would have suitcases of the stuff sent straight from the Sixth Borough. Chef Paul Gerard, filmmaker Joseph Castelo and nightlife impresario Rocco Ancarola preserved the Hoboken heirloom to keep the fire burning, saving the bakery and adding a flare of fun with a decor designed around their lasting impressions of the super seventies.
Fornasetti credenzas, capodimonte centerpieces, lucite candleholders, culver glassware, wood paneling and seventies swag lights brighten up rows of books and shots of icons that moved us through the mid century marching in the name of equality and art. The menu is even written as a film script, cueing guests to flash back to baked flavors that evoke memories made in the heart of the house. For decades people brought Antique Bakery bread to their tables, now Antique Bar & Bakery is bringing the tables to the bread.

Chef Paul Gerard and filmmaker Joe Castelo invite party goers to put on their funkiest zombie costumes and groove to the sounds of the Silent Disco, held exclusively at Antique Bar & Bakery. Horror films from the ‘70’s will be projected on the walls as the undead jam along to disco tracks spun by hell’s most wicked house DJ. Don’t miss the Antique dance troupe, a trio of Disco Zombie Go-Go dancers, “THE WEEPING WILLOW-ETTES”. Like Zombies at a brain buffet, guests will devour fiendishly inspired food and drink specials, including dry ice shots and the infamous ZOMBIE cocktail, a mixed drink that packs a hellish punch. This infectious Halloween bash will be the howl of the town, from the “sixth borough” reaching across the Hudson River.

EVERY MONDAY | STARTS 8PM
Much like standard karaoke, we provide a list book. Except, instead of a list of songs, we have a list of movie scenes to choose from. Depending on the night, the scenes may range from classic mob movies, to 80s horror films, to Oscar winning performances. This list also contains the number of characters in each scene. So, perform with a friend (or a total stranger) or take on a scene all on your own - just have fun with it! When you have chosen a scene you want to do, let the ABB host near the projector screen know and they will put you on the performance list.
When you are called up to perform, you will step up in front of our projector screen (ABB Garage room) where we have a monitor positioned for you read the scene subtitles while the same scene is projected behind you for your audience to enjoy.
If you don't know the scene by heart, we've got you covered - each scene has subtitles, so all you have to do is read the lines off the monitor and go with the flow! On the flips side, if you know the scene well, feel free to improvise lines and add in sound effects to make the performance unique.
Movieoke is free to anyone who wants to participate.
We have dozens of scenes to chose from each night so please do not be discouraged if your favorite scene is left off the list. If you'd like to submit a recommendation of a scene to be included on our list, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try our best to find that scene for future use.
